Looking out of the window we see an apartment block that is a little less elegant that the hotel. Some of the little balconies are enclosed to give the inhabitants a little extra space. Other balconies are like little gardens or a place to put stuff "out of site, out of mind". As for the enclosures, in days past Elena Ceausescu put the nix on these attempts at getting a little extra living space. Did the party bosses gaze out the windows to watch how the "other half" lived? |
